PAU D ARCO is an evergreen canopy tree found plentifully throughout the Amazon territories that produces beautiful pink and violet flowers. It is naturally resistant to disease and decay and Its use for a variety of wounds and infections predates that Incas.
PAU D ARCO POWDER is used prominently for pain and the conditional needs of abscess, boils, fungal infections including systemic, chronic or recurrent Candida and yeast infections; anti-microbial infections such as staph infection, atopic dermatitis and idiopathic skin infections and wounds; Leaky Gut Syndrome, ulcers and gastrointestinal infections like H. pylori and gastritis; stomatitis, herpes; amoebic infections such as dysentery, urinary tract infections, prostatitis and osteomyelitis and anti-viral actions against warts.
One of the more important plant constituents of PAU D ARCO POWDER is related to its lapachol content which may help disrupt the necessary energy and ATP electron transport system that fungi require to survive and spread. It may also restrict the ability of fungi to "breathe," leading to fungal cell death. In South America, the anti-fungal actions of PAU D ARCO are considered as effective as the synthetic drug ketoconazole
Many pet parents do not know that yeast and Candida overgrowth, including Candida albicans, can cause a litany of symptoms including chronic ear infections, over grooming and licking of the groin and genital areas, facial rubbing (beyond marking), and advanced discomfort which can include chewing aggressively at armpits and paws, chronic itching, and scratching. Yeast can also cause idiopathic skin infections that flare up, relent but then often come back more virulently with time. These sequences may be exceedingly difficult for your vet to diagnose.
PAU D ARCO POWDER contains a collection of anti-inflammatory polyphenols that are also COX-inhibitors, specifically cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and COX-1 enzymes, which drive the inflammatory processes of arthritis, particularly osteoarthritis.
Additionally, emerging studies suggest PAU D ARCO may have potential adjunctive, not stand alone uses for irregular growths related to a set of naphthoquinones plant chemicals called lapachol and beta-lapachone, which may provide numerous biological pathway protections against the conditional needs of aberrant tissue. The beta-lapachone content may help block DNA-repair pathways that help tumors survive, potentially making them more vulnerable to attacks and cell apoptosis.
PAU D ARCO may also help block a critical cancer protein found in lymphomas and may possibly help protect against its spread. It may also help boost activity of various cancer-fighting gene activity and its derivatives may help target mitochondria, increasing reactive oxygen species in cancer cells, helping to degrade them.
PAU D ARCO is NOT a cure for cancer and should NOT be used in high doses, so this might be viewed as an adjunctive addition to your pet's regimen.
PAU D ARCO also contains essential nutritional supports such as selenium, calcium, zinc, Vitamins A, B and C, magnesium, and potassium.
Documented plant actions of PAU D ARCO include anti-fungal, anti-septic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-Candidal, anti-tumoral, anti-microbial, anti-mutagenic, anti-angiogenic, vulnerary (wound healer), analgesic, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, immune regulator, anti-allergy, anti-ulcerous , anticoagulant (blood thinner), anti-dysenteric, antioxidant, anti-rheumatic, antivenin, astringent, cardiotonic (tones, balances, strengthens the heart), hepatotonic (tones, balances, strengthens the liver), immunostimulant and laxative.
